Jedna na dziesięć osób słyszy głosy. Film przedstawia pięć osób żyjących z tym doświadczeniem – jedna słyszy jeden głos, inna aż dziewiętnaście. Niektóre głosy chronią, inne pragną skrzywdzić. Psychiatra poza kadrem prowadzi z nimi rozmowy o głosach. Kim są ci ludzie i czego naprawdę chcą ich głosy? Jesteśmy świadkami, jak rewolucyjne podejście terapeutyczne pozwala pacjentom zyskać akceptację tego, co dzieje się wewnątrz nich. Nie oznacza to, że głosy łatwo się ujawniają – podczas kilku sesji wychodzi na jaw trauma bezpośrednio związana z ich pojawieniem się. Przede wszystkim film kreśli fascynujący portret grupowy – zarówno bohaterów, jak i ich głosów – ukazujący niezwykły świat ludzkiego umysłu.

One in ten people hears voices. The film depicts five people living with this experience – one hears a single voice, another hears nineteen. Some voices are protective, others want to harm. Off-screen, a psychiatrist talks with the participants about their voices. Who are these people, and what do their voices truly want? We witness how a revolutionary therapeutic approach allows patients to gain a deeper understanding of their minds and accept what is happening within. Voices do not reveal themselves easily – during several sessions, trauma directly linked to their appearance emerges. Above all, the film paints a compelling group portrait – of both the individuals and their voices – showcasing the extraordinary world of the human mind.
